Identifying Bottlenecks

You want to identify the bottlenecks within your production process. The main indication of a bottleneck is the amount of late hours within a shift/department vs the amount of on-time hours.

In the example below, the Assembly department shows an excess of scheduled late hours from November 4th–8th. This means that during this period, most work flowing through that department will not meet its deadline.

Fulcrum will determine both what is late and what is expected to be late based on the Scheduled End date of the final operation of the job and the Production Due Date of the job.
