In Fulcrum, a work order is a way to group work to be done together. Work Orders can be created either from the sales order, jobs grid, or from Production - Work Orders. Review the below information to find out what makes the most sense for you!
There are a few different ways to group work into a work order:

If you combine 2 & 3 above, you will find that this is the best way to solve for the issue of running a file of nested parts. You would combine by both operation and material, meaning for example, you are cutting multiple items out of the same material on the laser step. Below, we walk through creating these work orders.

Read through the following configuration details before creating work orders as it may have an impact on your workflow.
When setting up your routing steps on an item, you can associate required items directly to the operations they are needed for. Add your routing step, then under Required Items enter in the item and the required amount for that operation.

Navigate to Production > Work Orders > Create Work Order to start a new Work Order.
