Here’s a quick video on Fulcrum’s FAQ’s around security.

Not only is the type of data stored in an ERP important (vendors, customers, revenue, how you make your products, contact information, and more) but we also have customers who perform a variety of work on industries that require top-level security (such as military or aerospace). It’s vital that people outside your organization can’t access this information, and in some cases even people within the organization shouldn’t be able to see certain information.
Fulcrum data is encrypted both in where it is stored and in transit via Microsoft Azure. Meaning even when Fulcrum is managing your data it is in an encrypted state.
Also, Fulcrum does not own your data simply because it’s stored in Fulcrum. Your data is always your data. Similarly, to make sure you’re not at risk of losing your data, Fulcrum performs secure back ups of your data.
| Frequency | Every | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Point-In-Time | Minute | 21 Days |
| Weekly | Saturday | 1 Month |
| Monthly | Last Day of Month | 6 Months |
| Yearly | Last Day of Year | 2 Years |
If your business requires being gov hosted for security reasons, such as ITAR, Fulcrum is also able to support gov hosted sites.
Wholesale backups will lose any interim transactions (picking, inventory, document creation), so we don’t recommend this process as normal procedure.
Fulcrum “soft” deletes most data when a user or backend system deletes records. This means in many cases, records remain in the database but disappear from all UI, calculations, and reports, to allow for easier recovery in the off-chance something was accidentally deleted.
To start, anyone who wants to access Fulcrum needs to be added as a user. Each user is then configured with their own set of user permissions and password access. If needed, you can also ask your Fulcrum rep about enabling MFA. Generally, this is more than most customers need, but is available if necessary. If someone is no longer at the company, that user can be deactivated as well.
